"Daddy, I brought home some homework* for you and mommy and if you give it to me and I bring it to Miss Shaw tomorrow she'll give me a sticker that when you scratch it will smell like...chocolate."
"So, you're saying that you'd like Mommy and Daddy to make this homework a high priority tonight."
"Yeah."
"And you'll be sure to give it to her tomorrow?"
