Language

Some mispronounciations that Lucie still maintains and that secretly charm us endlessly, noted here before she grows out of these last vestiges of baby talk.

skwing, as in "When we go to the park, will you push me on the skwing?"

becept, as in "Everyone in my class got in trouble today becept me. I got to go to the treasure box."

punkwin, as in "When are you going to make punkwin pie again?"

similar to

napwin, as in "I used my napwin but there's still some syrup on my face."

sumbarine, as in "We all live in a yellow sumbarine."

Curiously, she often uses the word 'is' in place of the pronoun 'they', as in "What are is doing?" or, in the case of K and L in a bathroom stall at the mall while a couple of teenage African-American girls were gossiping colorfully and loudly, "Are is talking our language?"
